The first week of February of 2026!
The first of my entries on one of these
Basically what this is is just me rambling about the latest and greatest (haha, L a G, get it?) of this past week among the tech industries, be it something niche that i care about for personal reasons, or tech giants doing tech giant things that affects everyone, this is a very subjective list chosen for subjective reasons that affect my subjetive view of the world.
Today, since its my first entry ever, and we are just one month into 2026, Ill be citing everything 2026 so far.
Also, I think the tech world (and the world in general) might have had enough AI material already, and so have I, so I'll steer clear of that for the most part, unless its very important (or I just wanna talk abt it, cuz, again, this is my thing and I can do whatever i want here, you can read if you want)
1.First things first, AI!
The biggest news for me so far this year will be the same as most, as it is something that I myself thought about making (and then realized i don't have nearly the necessary experience, technical prowess, or know-how to even start on a project like this.), basically, making AI proactive. Clawdbot. Moltbot? idk at this point.
Joining AI with a multitude of different webhooks and APIs for it to communicate with you through is exactly what was necessary to make the same thing once again, and make people with no technical understanding think its a whole different thing.
Unjustified hate aside, this is a really neat thing, which does excite me a little with the idea of the integration of ai in small, spread-out ways, in the same manner in which a child would be more excited about how the new toy looks to their parents than the toy's actual potential.
2.Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro
Simply the option of having an actual lossless wireless audio experience has not yet set in. I want it. This spells the beginning of the end of the "practical vs. good" era. REJOICE! WE CAN HAVE BOTH!
3.Hytale
What excites me most about this game is not the gameplay in itself, the different civilizations that seem to ooze lore before you even stop to analyze them, or the ruins that imply that no matter what you do with your infinite possibilities in this sandbox, no one man can make a real difference in a world shaped by generations, civilizations, and cultures galore. No, it's the infinite possibilities with the mods that excite me. People have started talking about mods for a DnD VTT in Hypixel, where you can have an actual tactical view of the map, actual 3d lighting, actual fog of war, and your sheet and stats linked directly to your character in the map. I am somewhat of a DnD man myself, so that gets my juices flowing. Ill talk more of DnD on here sometime.
So those are my 3 top things so far for the LaG of 2026. Hope you enjoyed!
